Why anything goes this Winter
It's always a treat visiting the hairdresser - the head massage, getting your hair styled and feeling pampered.
Ezara Rooney is my hairdresser and hails from Ireland. She's been doing it for 10 years and seriously makes everything look so easy. With so much experience, she's defintiely my go to person for all things on trend and says this Winter, while one trend stands out, anything goes.
"Balyage is one of the most popular trends whether it be cool or warm tones," she says.
"A lot of people tend to darken their hair coming in to Winter, mid length cuts seem to be trending and also braids are a must. Even though people tend to go dark in the cooler months, it seems celebs like Taylor Swift are lightening their hair to the extreme. Even though it's their Summer, I think it will still trend here."
We seem to be loving a beachy wave right now and here are some tips to getting that look.
"Some people are very lucky to have a natural wave in their hair which can be accentuated with my favourite sea salt spray. Otherwise you can add waves with tongs or a wand but it will take a bit of practice."
Here are Ezara's tips for keeping your locks healthy and helping them grow.
- Use professional quality shampoo and conditioner
- Use a deep treatment mask once a week
- If you heat style your hair, use a heat protector
- Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks
