My top 10 bargain beauty buys

And nothing will cost you more than $60.

Mecca superscreen: I don’t leave home without applying it. It’s non greasy, absorbs well and is SPF50 protecting against UVA and UVB rays, keeping those lines and wrinkles away for as long as possible. Sun protection to me is key. $40

Cosmedix Benefit Clean gentle cleanser: We all need to wash our faces after we take off our makeup or just to wash the day away. This one foams up to gently cleanse and is packed with antioxidants helping to hydrate the skin. $50

Jane Iredale BB Cream: It’s a mineral, vegan makeup packed with ingredient goodness including grapefruit and apple extracts. It’s so full coverage it can double as a concealer if you use a bit extra under the eyes like I do. You only need the smallest amount so it’ll last for a while, plus it contains sunscreen. Read my full review. $55

Lancome concealer: A little of this over my foundation or BB cream gives me that extra coverage I need for my dark under eye pigmentation (hereditary) and doesn’t get stuck in any creases. You only need the smallest amount, rub it between your ring fingers to warm up and gently dab it on. You can use a concealer brush but I find it goes on better using my fingers. Get more info here. $60

Rimmel volume shake mascara: It doesn’t clump and makes my lashes defined and look so much thicker. It incorporates a new technology where you shake it and it “refreshes the volumising formula” so no pumping the wand which actually dries out your mascara quicker. Sukin oil balancing, anti-pollution charcoal face mask: Charcoal draws impurities from the skin and this mask is gentle on my skin and really does the job. Use it once a fortnight at least and you’ll notice an improvement in the appearance of your skin. $17

Rimmel Brow This Way: It’s a powder that is so easy to apply with the soft brush. It defines, fills and lines. To get more product on the brush, you just shake it. It also blends really well and comes in four colours. Find out more. $12.95

Australis eyegasm liquid liner: I’m not usually a fan of liquid liner because I get worried I’ll make a mistake and then being quick drying, we’ll be in a whole lot of trouble, but the shape of the brush makes it easy to apply. It does dry quickly but comes off easily and has a little shimmer in it too. $11.95

OGX shampoo and conditioner: They’re made from natural ingredients and are sulfate and paraben free. There are so many different options to choose from including keratin therapy to strengthen your hair, coconut water to hydrate or cherry blossom to add shine. You’ll find one (or many) perfect for your hair. $17.99 each

Moroccan oil hair treatment: It contains Argan oil and is all about improving the health of your hair. You only need a small amount (think a 5 cent piece) and it just smoothes, boosts shine and detangles. It’s oil infused but doesn’t leave my hair feeling or looking oily. $59.95 for 100mL
