Fashfest: It's a wrap
What an incredible showcase from the hair to makeup and of course the fashion.
Fashfest is Canberra's premier fashion showcase with local designers and some from interstate coming to the nation's capital to unveil their collections.
Three nights, 6 shows and the showstopper came on the second night. The designer is Charly Thorn and she's 17.
Her designs defied her youth and we were wowed by the gold, pleats and metallic. This girl knows her fashion and how to put together a collection. It was wearable with an edgy sense of glamour. This girl will go places - remember the name!
By far the most outrageous and jaw dropping came from VFP which is all about wearable art. The off white and metallic pieces were a pleasure to see grace the catwalk. This was a serious wow moment.
If you're after evening glamour then Megan Canning Designs is for you with low backs and lace, off shoulder gowns with thigh high splits and tiered dresses.
If you're after a wedding dress, Naomi Peris bridal probably made the hearts melt of every woman in the room with lace wedding dresses, feathers, capes and even pants,
Just in time for the Spring racing season, milliner extraordinaire and the woman behind the ;label Sovata Jade Sargent revealed a breathtaking collection with bright colours. She also found the time to design all the clothes as well.
The sleeve creations from Eder by Anna were amazing. Tiers, ruffles, cut outs, lace - perfection.
Across all shows, the recurring features were lace, wide leg pants, black and white, eggplant, blush and off the shoulder and these will be seen everywhere.
