What better time for the mini to make a comeback than in Summer so now is the time to pay homage to the daring women we can thank for it.

It really started in the 1920s when the flapper came along and we saw hemlines creep on up.

The skirts got longer for a few decades until British designer Mary Quant stocked her boutique Bazaar with skirts well above the knee and named them after her fave car the Mini.

Supermodel Twiggy is also well known for showing off her pins.

Like all fashion the mini has come and gone and to celebrate its return, here are some of the best I've found.j
