Why we've fallen in love with Carly Paiker jewellery
Spirited jewellery that is both luxe and elegant - that's what you'll get from Carly Paiker.
The Sydney based jewellery designer has been crafting classy and trendy pieces for 12 years, with some of her designs featuring on the rich and famous including Giuliana Rancic, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rachael Finch and Lara Bingle.
"The jewellery market is so competitive and these ladies have every brand at their feet so when it's your products they choose to wear, it's always thrilling and I have to pinch myself every time," she says.
It's been an exciting journey for Carly who started creating one of a kind pieces while studying.
“Soon there was demand from friends and family and before I knew it, I was stocked in some of Perth’s leading fashion and lifestyle stores.”
Carly sources materials from all corners of the globe and says she is constantly inspired to create new collections and add to her signature style.
“My designs are a combination of ideas, patterns and material inspirations that come together for each collection concept that ensures I maintain the signature Carly Paiker aesthetic while building on new and exciting instalments for the brand,” she says.
“The more difficult part is ensuring my vision comes to life with the right manufacturers and materials so the pieces end up exactly as I had imagined."
As for what jewellery should be adorning our arms, fingers and ears this summer, for Carly it’s all about colour – the more the better – including pastel pinks, corals, ocean and aqua blues and rose quartz.
“Tassels, pom poms, mixed metals, contrasting colours, semi precious turquoise and ear jackets are going to be huge this season,” she says.
"There is no right and wrong with jewellery. You can mix metals, mix stones and contrast your outfit.
“My jewellery is designed from the heart and should be worn from the heart.
“If you love it and feel like wearing it, then go for it. The most important thing is that you love it and feel empowered wearing it."
