What we'll be wearing in Autumn and Winter
It's that exciting time of year, space gets made in the wardrobe and the anticipation builds to find out just what we'll be wearing as the weather cools and seasons change.
Slowly, longer sleeves replace singlets and shorts make way for jeans.
Myer has held its AW17 fashion launch with 100 new season looks on show from Australian and international designers.
Drumroll please ...
We'll be seeing simple silhouettes with a lot of flowing and feminine pieces, romantic lace, fun frills, ruffles and pleats. Then there's pieces that'll make a more dramatic, stronger statement with velvet, textured pieces like faux fur, embroidery and prints like spots and stripes.
What i'm pretty excited about is the blazer. It's a wardrobe must have and will be an AW17 staple. It's so versatile and will keep you warm and looking good. Just be sure you get one that fits your shape perfectly.
Monochrome is also going to be popular with lots of black and white. Blush will be a prominent colour and we'll be seeing many different shades of green
The off shoulder look will make a bit of space for cut outs (that have been around already) and it'll be all about the statement sleeve.
Look out for high necklines which I am in love with because it's so dramatic and beautiful.
As for hemlines, it's anything from midi to mini.
