Why this trend is making waves

When I say ruffles what comes to mind? The chips? Perhaps a giant tiered cake with heaps of icing?

Well the ruffle has taken on a whole new meaning and is set to be a huge trend as the weather cools. It's also known as frill or furbelow, sometimes call flounce - a less bulky version of the style.

Late last year we saw ruffles all over the catwalks during the New York SS17 shows and it's making it's way to us around the rest of the world. To say I'm excited is an understatement.

It can be romantic, whimsical, pretty and feminine or more structured and even on the subtle side.

Pair a ruffle skirt with a plain top and those ruffle blouses with jeans or a pair pf pants. But really, who says you can't go ruffle top and bottom?
